Don't see how that works. The tacit agreement would leave with Orsini if he were to leave.

Re: Larry Brown talks serious according to Kate
It is nice to be in the ESPN crawl all day. Obviously, there are better reasons, but this is still (at least a little) better than a lot of reasons... Shake It Off Moody
Re: Larry Brown talks serious according to KateAfter watching Brown talk about the SMU job on NBATV I really hope we hire him.

Re: Larry Brown talks serious according to Kate
Good segment, but here is what I took away from it: he has something to offer, loves to push guys in practice, not sure he wants to run a game. Benford is a young energetic guy looking to make a move to the next level. All the talk here has been about LB as head coach and Benford as a HCIW type position, but I submit this for consideration: why not flip it? Put LB in an associate HC or consultant-type position that gives him a chance to get back into things and build up the players plus impart some wisdom to Benford, plus it allows him to avoid some of the pressures he admits he doesn't want and allows Benford to be firmly established after LB leaves, which we all think he will do in 2-3 years anyway. Thoughts (noting of course that this completely discounts both ego and money, either or both of which make this scenario nothing more than academic)? Alright 86. Let's get positive.
Re: Larry Brown talks serious according to KateLarry Brown FTW!!!!!
Re: Larry Brown talks serious according to KateIMO- he is very cagey or he really doesn't want the game-to game pressures. I was a little surprised he wasn't more positive about his conversations with us.

Larry Brown talks serious according to KateLarry brown is not an assistant coach.
Re: Larry Brown talks serious according to KateHow bout Benford as hc and Brown as director of Basketball operations?
Larry Brown talks serious according to Kate
how about brown as school president, Orsini as HC and benford and turner as assistants?
Re: Larry Brown talks serious according to Kateno because SO would want to re-hire Doh as a consultant and give him a 7-yr contract.

Re: Larry Brown talks serious according to Kate
Well he must be cagey, because there is no pressure at SMU, as evidence by us sticking with doh for six years without much success. In that interview, I think he was holding his cards close to his vest. He has been around the block on the job search thing a few times. Not saying he will be the coach, but that is how I took his comments. Still not sure about the idea, but tech made it work with knight.
