Let's hope the promise of Tubbs+DISD=happy recruiting rings true.

yeah and for perspective I think we have interest from about 6 of the Texas Top 10 most or all of which are listed above.

nice work, LA. Is there any doubt Tubbs has SMU in the recruiting mix in a big way? Now, lets announce a renovation of Moody which would really help get some of these guys to sign.

Okay, that is exciting news, but we've got to close the deal on these guys! I'm telling you, one or two top players a year just from the metroplex would put us over the top.

Here are two more:
Donald Sloan – Seagoville
PG/SG – 6’2†170
4 stars
Derrick Roland – Seagoville
SG – 6’4†185
4 stars
Sloan and Roland are very good players and high-major prospects. Last year they were often overlooked because teammate LaMarcus Aldridge got most of the attention. They are still not listing schools, but I have no doubt we are in the mix for one or maybe both.

to be more precise - if you include Kelvin Lewis- SMU has been mentioned by 6 out of the Top 13 from Rivals TexasHoops.com

I saw N. Crowley play last year and I was more impressed with Lewis than I was Kevin Langford (brother of KU's Keith Langford and now playing for the Cal Bears).

As a matter of intertest -- if you look at the box scores of the North Crowley games -- and in particular the last couple of games you will see that Chris Parham, recent football commitment, is scoring in double figures. I have an idea that Coach Bennett may have been at one of these games before Parham committed and was impressed with his athletic ability which may indicate that he can rush the passer.
