Gotta hit bottom first and then head up to the surface.....they were necessary decisions and tough to make, but kudo's for making them....

So...what guys on our roster can play with the "big boys" in the Big East?
Does LB need to clean house further? A lot depends on the JC guys he can secure right?

We needed a few for potential transfers. Also, need to have 3 or 4 for the Spring/Summer. Brown did good work and quickly

I too hope that this means LB has some talent in the pipeline for 2012. And Ryan Manuel better be ready to play.

My information includes Vilde as a third player who has been officially notified that his scholarship will not be renewed. Also confirmed that JFrog and Norman have been officially notified.

thanks to those guys for their hard work.

but basketball, like any sport, is a competitive game. the most talented players play - period. if we have better players coming in, which I suspect we will, you have to make room.

i remember my basketball camp and middle/hs days. I always got the "most coachable" trophy...which was code for "he isn't very good."

I remember getting a "most improved" award in a soccer camp. I remember going home and thinking "**** you [deleted]" because I was recovering from a damn injury lol

More changes to come on the roster. Again, who from our current roster can truly compete in the Big East? Expect a lot more changes this time next year.

Uh, it's Larry Brown. I'm pretty sure he's qualified to judge basketball talent.

Samarrippas is a super nice dude, but whats been said is correct. None of these players were what we needed for a quick turnaround and it was necessary to get rid of them.

I noticed jfrog opened up his account on twitter. He was my kids favorite player and he took the time to stop and talk to them. Made their day. I'm sure he will land on his feet. Wish him the best. Thanks jfrog

I hate to see anyone lose a scholarship, but I think this is good for the team, the program and our school. I think most people would agree that J-frog was not going to be a starting-caliber guard in the BE. I'm excited about who LB brings in.

During my epic middle school career, I scored a whopping 4 points in TWO YEARS (all of them in my last game). Sadly, my team sucked so bad that I actually got a reasonable number of minutes. In my defense, Mexican-Americans are generally not know for their hoops skills.

when Brown said in that initial press conference he wants guys who are "long" and athletic, Frog had to know that was not a good thing for him. Hope he finds a plce to play because I like the way he plays. I wonder if he might be able to finish out at one of the FL SunBelt schools?

Someone refresh me on the rules; if LB releases them from their ship, are they immediately eligible someplace else? This stuff gets convoluted sometimes and I lose track. Regardless, wishing j-frog and the rest the best wherever they go next.
