I had trouble getting past the emotion and regret he had about leaving ISU. Not sure how long it will take before he starts to sound convincing about SMU and gets over leaving his personal situation in Illinois. Can any one advised what the long term guarantees are in his contract that caused him to be finally convinced to accept the SMU job???

He is fine, that final Illinois interview was heartfelt, but he is excited about SMU. His family moves out in late July...he has a 12 year old son on 2 AAU teams that he wants to play before they move here.

Ill St was pretty good, nothing more. I saw them 10 plus times last year.

They were young...he is pretty high on the players and the best are all coming back for the 2012 season. I never saw them...so have no idea.

Primary recurring theme from his interview. Money and security talks. Appears he has both with the his agreement with us.

They were pretty good, MVC top 4ish. They'll be pretty good this year, they just wouldn't have smoked us. Sorta like Northern Iowa the year before

If I'm not mistaken, 2 or 3 years ago a Jank coached Illinois St team beat SMU in a tournament the Mustangs hosted.

Glad to hear that he is fine as I got the feeling he had buyers remorse. Any information re the guarantees in his contract?/

You are correct. And this team of I State is much better than that one..... This coming year is under progress, so who knows who we field?
