it appears to be a tie. He has now completed his 4 scheduled visits and says SMU, UH, TCU and Baylor are all real close.

apparently, a Baylor pay site is insinuating that Hodge is not likely to go to Baylor and that he may be a partial qualifier based on a test score he just received. It leaked out to the free site. See Baylorfans.com[/url]

It means he most likely will not be a Bear.

Hodge committed to TCU...momentum is definitely on TCU's side right now. Good luck with the rest of your recruiting.

Old news, Froggie. See my post on another thread from weeks ago. Hard to say TCU has momentum...to go from contending for a BCS bid to no bowl bid including a couple of thrashings...I'd say they have more to answer to than does SMU at this point. Imagine what would become of that 'momentum' if the Ponies pull it off on the Hilltop in early September. Train wreck anyone?

The only thrashing you should be worrying about is 44-0. Considering our worst season in almost a decade would be cause for rejoicing on the Hilltop, I think SMU has alot more to worry about. And as of now, TCU is easily outrecruiting SMU, despite what the geniuses on this board said our move would do to our recruiting. Did we have a brief dropoff in recruiting the first couple years after Fran left? Yes, and we paid for it last year with our lack of depth. Considering our recruiting has gotten progressively better, and SMU's has gotten progressively worse, things will likely continue to stay the same. Don't throw stones when you live in a glass house.

I happen rather to like throwing large blunt objects at the walls of my opaque house. It gives me a feeling of haughty superiority. Then afterwords, I sit down with a glass of chablis, and sign pictures of myself, "To Myself with Frank Admiration."

Go choke on your delusions of grandma, Mr. Frog.

I wasn't talking about SMU's thrashings. We've put up with 16 years of same...appropriate concern is regularly given to SMU's performance. My point was/is, with regard to your post & boast that TCU has "momentum," it is my considered opinion that TCU should be concerned as to whether their high point will be the Franchione era and its vestiges which carried over into the '03 season.

I continue to hold that TCU will be and should be favored over SMU in Sept. A TCU loss, however, would be much more disasterous than would an SMU loss.

No surprise that Hodge will be a Frog. When I heard that he had grade problems, most people assumed he would join the other future McDonalds employee's at Trash Can University!

TCU is having a very nice year in recruiting, but we shall see how it all turns out (in a few years). May be better than any of Fran's classes or just as good if some things fall in line as expected (may be already). Not the place to be boasting about it though. Hodge is a very nice pick up. SMU has put together the kind of class it really needed with some big boys and JUCOs who can fill some missing pieces. Willis could be your "sleeper" though his rating it pretty good already.
