If the coaches really want the guy, I would think there still would be a chance to get him to change his mind. SMU is far more like Carroll HS than UH is, it's a lot closer to home and a lot of Carroll students (his friends?) go to SMU.

Plus he already has a better education at S.L.C. that he can't build on at u.h.

I agree that SMU is a good place to get an education, but if you want the good players you have to go after them. Several good kickers and punters from the DFW area went elsewhere with scholarships. They weren't offered by SMU. Maybe the thinking is we can score enough and a walk on is good enough. Believe it or not a lot of schools operate that way. Very few will scholly a great deep snapper.

If you are bored there is a kid close to home for you to look at. Tryston Mizerak at North Garland. Tryston is a soph with 2 more years of HS. He could be Margus Hunt size. His Dad said he measured 6' 61/2" and 295 at the beginning of spring practice. He lives in the weight room. TT has been all over him. I would sure hate for him to go there.

Kicks at Southlake Carroll. Sounds like he took his first offer. Wish we would have jumped in, we could use some reinforcements in that phase of the game.

I know UH and Boise State had recruiters at Boyd recently. Hope our future big east brethren aren't stealing our local talent. My hope is they are looking at RB Driskell and we feel we are set with the Lines.
