I am curious what record do you think you will have next year. Here, is a rundown of your schedule:

Two huge question marks (if most players stay healthy) not answerable till the fall...QB and OL. If those pan out the sky's the limit, say 9-3 and in the CUSA C.G., if not then 6-6. I do firmly believe that we will be bowling again this year. Go Ponies.

What is the question mark at QB? Isn't Gilbert expected to take the reins?

Looking at in-conference, Cody Green (QB transfer from Nebraska) will be starting for Tulsa. Bortles looks to be the starter now at UCF, and went 9-of-12 for 118 yards and one touchdown when he replaced Godfrey against us. UH will be interesting given all of their changes. QB will be the big question for us. Any word on Gilbert?

Yes I think that is the plan. He was not very good at UT granted he didn't have any help. I think anyone is crazy if the think he will come in here and just start lighting it up is guaranteed. So I would say even though we have a good idea of who are starting qb is going to be, we have no idea what we are going to get out of him, so yeah QB is still a ?

Six and six with losses to the former conference rivals. If selected for a bowl game, there is likely to be a lot of speculation on this board untl a temporary head coach is named for the post season after JJ checks out for a new job.

Yes Central Florida should be tough with their defense and Bortles. Godfrey back, playing wide receiver. Plus we play them in Orlando. Getting USM, UH and Tulsa at home helps. Tough schedule. I think JJ is here through 2014.

If the QB transfer from TU does not meet expectations SMU will be lucky to win six games. If he plays well, probably 8-5. It is incongruous that a team like SMU with June Jones as coach does not have at least two good QB upperclassmen waiting in the wings.
