Redskins look to capi├é┬¡tal├é┬¡ize on Josh LeRibeus’s versatility
By Mike Jones
When the Washington Redskins selected guard Josh LeRibeus out of Southern Methodist University with their third pick of the draft, Coach Mike Shanahan believed that he was getting not only a player capable of fitting well into his zone blocking scheme at guard, but also someone who could be an answer at center.

Great stuff. Hello recruits. Notice how Shanahan was talking with JJ?? Gotta love a college coach with connections. Plus, great extra bit in the story on AR.

He also must have some serious connections in Pittsburgh!
Dallas, too. QBs coach Wade Wilson played for him.
In other words, Coach Jones has connections all over the NFL.
Back to the story ... does anyone know enough about the specifics of line play to detail why a LeRibeus might be qualified to move from guard to center? We know he's strong, we know he's mobile, we know he's athletic. But is there anything we can point to that might make him a better center than guard? (I still think he could be a very good NFL guard, but I don't know enough about why he might or might not make a good center.)
