Everything is cyclical. The biggest issue I have with all the conference realignment is that everyone is just looking at the immediate future. It's pretty maddening. Do you think Pitt and Syracuse would have made the jump knowing or thinking Clemson and FSU would head out the door shortly thereafter? Sure looked good in the immediate future though. Think FSU would rather be in the ACC if UT and OU bolt? Someone might want to take a look a little bit further down the road. And even UT and OU stayed, is FSU really going to be OK with those two schools getting the largest share first with unbalanced payouts? Their is a reason Nebraska, Missouri and A&M bolted.
great points if they were not so much BS
1. TAMU and Nebraska consistently voted for unequal revenue sharing so it would be impossible that they were against it or left because of it
2. the Big 12 no longer has unequal revenue sharing they modified that
3. UT and OU and the other 8 members of the Big 12 have signed over their media rights to the conference for the next 6 years so it will be next to impossible that they leave because if they did they would have to go for the next 6 years without being shown on TV and if they were on TV the Big 12 would get that money not the universities
4. the Big 12 tier 1 deal ends in 2015-2016 and if they negotiate a new deal before then it will include the media rights being signed over for the life of that deal preventing any team from considering leaving
other than that you were onto something with those points!
