Why the Big Ten and Pac-12 Should Secede From College Football's Postseason
"Within weeks, the conference commissioners and university presidents who run the Bowl Championship Series are expected to adopt a four-team playoff, the first in the history of major-college football. . . . . . . "
"Outsiders have dared the Big Ten adn Pac-12 to go their own way. Author says, they should do so."

I found this Wall Street Journal quite interesting with its focus on the tradition of the Rose Bowl. Candidly, discarding tradition should be done carefully.

I hate to admit this but i agree with them.A full blown playoff would kill the regular season plus the championship game. And yes ruin the rose bowl

The Rose Bowl has been irrelevant for 20 years now. If they don't want to play who cares.
Unfortunately, the world has changed and not for the better. Of course I would love the SWC Champion in the Cotton Bowl every New Year's Day (actually physically at the Cotton Bowl) but it's just not going to happen. It's time for everybody to move on.
