Seriously? I can go to myplates.com and get a TEXAS license plate featuring Boise State University, Florida State, Oklahoma, Alabama, or even Purdue, but I can't buy an SMU plate????
What gives? Am I just overlooking it? I know I've seen cars with SMU plates around town many times.

My wife got me SMU plates from there for Christmas. Just looked and did not see them there now either though.

Don't see the one with the Mustang background anymore. In fact, no SMU option in Luxury series.

Ok, so MyPlates.com offers Michigan State plates but not Michigan (UofM) plates? Michigan's a bigger school... and they offer High School themed plates but not SMU? Thats just weird.

Probably not getting enough orders to make it worth their while. Maybe if enough people contacted them requesting the one with the red mustang background they will make it available again. Got mine early on ...glad I did.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

SMU has had a plate through MyPlates.com (the faded pony behind the numbers). TxDOT then said that they will no longer allow any images that may distort the numbers (like the pony), so we had to redesign the SMU plate. It's with TxDOT now for final approval and should be available again soon.
