Was she in the Alternative Asset Program? If so I may have sat with you at Friday's reception. My step son also graduated, but only Cum Laude--Sculpture and Mexican-American Relationships knocked him down. I kid you not! Mexcian-American Relations! I was introduced to a young graduate with an outstanding academic record--regardless job well done!

Re: Four Years Later.
Thank you all for the kind words and congratulations.
HB Pony Daughter is a President's Scholar and SMU seriously recruited her because they made a serious effort to make sure she accepted their offer instead of USC and the numerous other offers she received.
The Thadsta and I often made the analogy in her recruitment that if SMU wants the best both academically and athletically they can compete and have the ability to get who they want.
I met June Jones last week as well and it appears the Ponies have a very good team in the works.
June also told me I don't have to return to a monogamous relationship with my Trojans!
Thank you all for four fun years of banter and discussion here on PF!

Hey HB,
Belated congrats. You definitely have a lot to be proud of. And we as ponyfans (or at least this ponyfan) are grateful for her choice of SMU of USC because it brought you into the fold. You definitely liven things up on a semi regular basis. It has been fun getting to know you both. Will we be seeing either of you on the BLVD next year? It is a great schedule.

If we can convince HB Pony Daughter to choose SMU for Graduate School then I probably will come to the Boulevard in the future.
Didn't you and I have a nice chat with SO on the Boulevard just a few months ago?
He was personable and engaging and as I recall we were all happy he spent the time to chat with us.
SMU politics can give you heartburn!

Re: Four Years Later.
HB Pony Dad,
Congratulations to your daughter and her proud father. I look forward to your future post and hope the LA to Hilltop connection remains strong. As a SMU alum (as was my son in 2005), her pride in her SMU diploma will grow even more over time. FYI, both of my kids are in So. Calif., nice symmetry.
