I think this kid has already committed. (Baylor?)

SMU can use the depth at both spots. Email the coaches.

Kid bombing 80+ yard KOs - getting healthy since senior season end - Baylor needs KO guy as current PKs weak and inconsistent on KOs. Best combo kid in USA too. Late bloomer will eventually vey for Groza, imo.

Looks like this kid is rated 100th by Jamie Kohl and 117th by Chris Sailer. These are the 2 best kicker specialist in the US. Chris Sailer handles several major colleges kicking camps. 5 SEC teams, 6 Pac 12 teams, San Diego State, and Boise State are just a few. Some very talented kickers in the DFW are still looking and a couple might walk on if interested.

Was it not Sailer who gave a high recommendation to Loftus???

Interesting. I know this kid has NFL connections so having a guy like Sailor call the shots was not necessary. Sailor and others are pay-to-play guys. Guy makes money by taking care of kids parents paying him big money. It's a fricken joke. Any special teams/football coach worth any salt can watch film, look at high school stats, and figure out if a kid can compete.
As for Sailer's recruiting $ervice, incl.Loftus, and many other Sailer kids (Stanfords FG kid)...I say "

Not SMU's special teams coach. He doesn't even know which way the kicking tee faces.

You are talking about McKnight, not Gansz, Jr., correct?

I'm just being sarcastic. Discontent is pretty high if we're ripping on the special teams coach.
Re: Is SMU quietly recruiting this All-American Kicker/Punte
I guess JJ thinks he will score enough not to need a kicker-punter.
