My understanding of Crandall Head's "transcript problems" explained here(and several other articles) stems from fact he left Illinois in December during the season after playing several games last year. Apparently sat out academically last semester despite advice that he get associates degree at Junior College so he could be immediately eligible at a 4 year school. In order to be immediately eligible at another 4 year school he would have to establish a year of residency at the new school. He did neither. If he had gone to a 4 year school during the Spring Semester 2012 he could have been eligible on about December 20, 2012 after the end of his second residency semester. I'm not sure how he plans to be eligible or what the plan is. Seems like he might not be eligible until the 2013-2014 season if he can't get his associates degree at a JUCO.
