Anyone else have the sinking feeling that this game is going to be HOT?

So what did the preview say ? I figure our 1st team D is a lot better than baylor's D. Offense ? Well I guess you have got to give them an edge here now because their #2 QB last year played well when he played and they have a super RB Transfer from Oregon who looks good in spring practice. Despite our great RB and WR, we will start a new QB and a new OL, which need a lot of work this summer and fall. Still, should be a great game and it may be a lot closer than some think.

The preview talked a lot about RGIII actually. Really they spent far too much talking about last year's team instead of where the new team was. I think that is telling. However, Briles did mention he felt that they would not be able to do a number of things they could with Griffin as QB. He also mentioned that Salubi and the other guy are likely to be the feature backs. Apparently, Seatrunke is having some trouble adjusting and even had a minor injury. He probably won't be a major factor compared to the other backs.

As for the defense, they said that they will blitz more than last year as they were too conservative. However, Baylor just found out they were having 6 players leave the program where all but 5 were on defense. Now, only two of these will see the field but that is going to hurt their efforts to build on a defense that was already ranked 100 something. Baylor is a beatable next year. I get the feeling Briles does not have great expectations as he was more eager to talk about last year and his success with former QBs.

They will likely now be taking a bigger class than before though and so they may get some extra recruits this year that may have gone to SMU. Obviously, they are popular with a lot recruits because of last season. Then again, they may go after some JUCOs too so will have to wait and see on this front.

Doesn't Seastrunk have to sit out a year? He transferred in January right?

I also figure Coach Jones will be trying hard to put on a show on National TV against the PB defense.
