I'm hate watching what college athletics is turning in to. Nothing but greed($$$$$) is ruining the history and tradition of college athletics. If it comes to 4 super conferences, and the have nots( including SMU) on the outside looking in with no chance for an opportunity to play for a national championship. I will turn my attention, and $$$$, to high school athletics.

This article is what really scares me.

http://espn.go.com/college-football/sto ... -knell-acc

"And what about the depleted Big East? It's pretty clear the Big East is no longer sitting at the same table with the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC, after it lost Pittsburgh, Syracuse, TCU and West Virginia to other leagues. Now the Big East might not even be sitting in the same room as the other BCS conferences."

Very true. However, most of these moves have nothing to do with the ability of a schools AD. For example, if Notre Dames or UT's AD came to South Florida, it would not make our situation any better.

I've heard from some people at the Big East meetings that the TV negotiations will be futile if UCONN, Louisiville, and Rutgers are spending the summer trying to get into the ACC following the departures of FSU, Clemson, etc..

However, if those schools leave the ACC, whose to say the Big East deal wouldn't be as good as the deal the "new" ACC could get. So maybe it isn't all doom and gloom right now. I still say the "Decision Makers" will practically ensure a formula that will never allow a Big East or ACC member to make the final four of the college football playoffs. We really need to push for a 8 team playoff instead of a 4 team playoff
