EJ did a nice job on this. I think Dieter could step in a do well. I'm not a big fan of Keenan, and Ace struggled to pick up the offense.

If Dieter hits the field we've made a lot of recruiting mistakes ahead of him.

If dieter hits the field, he earned it. End of story. Nothing to do with recruiting mistakes. Every kid should come in and want to start from day one.

The negativity on this board is ludicrous. And don't start going on about other teams do this and that and how we need Texas recruits and BCS offers. Yeah, our recruits are not that sexy. They never have been. Its been a decent ride the past three years with our crappy recruits. Not amazing, but decent.

Perhaps we have a breakout year, and we get some of those recruits. But the "entering a BCS" argument is [deleted], because we all know that these Texas recruits don't are the BE in too positive a light from both a competition or stability point of.view....so stop [deleted] so much and give these kids a chance.

What I meant to say before Autocorrect hit....

The big easy is not perceived as BCS by recruits. Any kid growing up in Texas wants to play in the B12 or SEC so they can play close to home. Also, the perception of the BE is that it will not last. So any jump in recruiting won't be seen until the conference can gel

We will win Conference USA and be setup to make a run at the Big East title next year! Gilbert is going to take us to the next level!

Gilbert or Conner?
Either way it's gonna be very tough with a young O line.
Should be an interesting year with these factors, plus June at the crossroads, Mason improving the D every year, lots of talent, change in rercuiting philosophy.
Can't wait!

Zero. Really?
Gilbert has yet to take a snap, open a playbook, or complete a course yet at SMU. Injuries can happen to QB's, at times.
I'm not saying Conner is a better player or will beat out Gilbert, but a lot can happen between now and the end of the season.

It is GG's to lose. Connor could beat him out, but that would mean GG hasn't recovered his confidence or Connor is just that good. I don't see that happening. It'll be an interesting August. Of course the maturity and progress of the Oline is even more important.
