villanova would just absolutely freak to start losing recruits to SMU - that would be so very fun.

can you even imagine winning a basketball tug of war with Kentucky? We got us a whole new ball game round here.....

Close to home and much better overall academics. And I haven't even mentioned the women

Larry: "We know you won't go here, but make us "number two." It'll give a huge boost to the program.

Harrison Twins: "Deal. We'll be calling in favors later."

Larry: "I'm Mr. Favor."

If this is how it turns out it's still a win.

That would be ridiculous (but still kind of cool)

Brown and his recruiting team have done more than the previous staff accomplished in five years and he hasn't even coached a game yet. Welcome to the Hilltop LB. RGT/Orsini should have pulled the trigger years ago.

Couldn't have pulled the trigger years ago as we weren't headed into the Big East. No one of Brown's caliber would have come here to coach in CUSA.

That's ridiculous. We've only grabbed disenchanted or troubled transfers. Getting kids on campus is great, getting listed is great too, but don't put down the previous staffs recruiting, which was pretty darn good the past few years. Hell, Doh's '12 class was a top 5-10 non-bcs class the last few years, and was just commended by CBS this week.

You should [deleted] about June, cause Doh recruited better than June, and Brown recruits better than Doh

Guess it would be hard not to go to Kentucky if you want to win the NC. Thanks, LB, for getting us in the conversation. This will be the first time in years I will be excited about a Bball season. "All my top 5 are even."

I think more than anything this shows what we could do in football if we had an energized staff - instead of basically one recruiter that has been with SMU for 4 months. Starting to get very concerned about football recruting - and we have nobody in the AD slot to challenge June on his "ill get to it between rounds" attitude.

Word is out on Twitter today that Aaron Harrison, 2013 star and one half of the coveted Harrison twins, went down this morning during a game at the NBPA Top 100 Camp. Harrison’s right knee slammed into the ground during a mid-court collision, but he was able to limp off the court and did not appear in distress while he watched the rest of the game from the sideline. I agree completely. Even the 2011 class with Jalen, Cannen, and Manuel was pretty damn good for SMU/CUSA standards. Blaise IMO is the biggest high school recruit for the program since B-Hop. I thought Doh was actually making some inroads in recruiting his last 2 years. I understand the Doh bashing, but I think he left the program way better than when he got here. I find that hard to argue considering where we were after the Tubbs years.

vey much agree with this. there is some talent to work from this time. The W/L didnt really reflect that - but people who know basketball would definately agree.
