Again, we had a legit staff. We just have Larry Brown now. Don't crap on the hard work of past staff's, who were quite talented on the trail. Nic Moore is a baller, but he's no bigger a recruit than Nick Russell was.

Dont need to be tall to be a baller. Google Pierre Jackson. 'Nuff said.

For five years the "past staff" didn't have the resuts LB and staff did in the last several weeks. That's why they are in or rear view mirror. Keep the momentum going LB and team and fix the mess that was left for you. It's only going to get better. Go Ponies!

If you would like to see some highlights from Nic's high school career-Go to www.nicmoore2011.comThe website was created by a local business in promoting him for Mr. Basketball in Indiana(he was runnerup to Cody Zeller of IU). He played against some of the best players in the state including Zeller, a kid from Bloomington South, and DeShaun Thomas from Ohio State. He scored around 1800 points in his high school career-2nd highest in school history-most likely would have hit it had he not had a knee injury towards the end of the senior year. He is an exciting player to watch and makes amazing passes. He doesn't play like he is 5-9 and will lead your team in assists and 3 point shooting. Too bad he has to sit out a year! You could probably google his name as well and see some video highlights.

That's nonsense. I love what Brown is doing, but let's be real here. He's brought in 2 kids previous staffs wouldn't have been allowed to even contemplate. One of those kids has not been admitted, and yes, he's the 5 star. The staff isn't even confident he will be admitted, they have no idea. Moore is a very good player, but we consistently get transfers like that recently, so that's par for the course stuff. Beyond that, on paper, Brown and crew made this upcoming team worse by ditching all the bigs, to free up spots for kids who didn't commit. Brown and co got burned by the Coastal Carolina kid in a big way. We're worse on paper right now, heading into this upcoming season, than we would have been only cutting one or two. Now, that's not to say the new system, coupled w/Brown coaching them up, won't make them far better this year, cause i believe we will be. Still, where are these results you speak of?

Well said Hoopmanx. This staff has not brought in any truly big time kids through the conventional recruiting process. We have several who were discontented and whose transferable grades are unknown plus a kid who wanted to follow his mentor and coach. Yes, this staff has set the bar very high, but only time and results will tell the story. In the interim, we must stay positive and support all the efforts of this staff who are trying to compete for kids who have been under the recruitment of major programs for the past several years. We are several years behind the curve on all the big talent kids and it may take that amount of time for us to get in on the ground work before we start being successful.

WELL SAID? No, its sour grapes. While Doh was taking this program to new depths Hoopmanx was shouting from the rooftops how wonderful he was and everyone was crazy for wanting him fired.
Doh wouldn't have been able to contemplate bringing in the 2 kids LB has signed? Well guess what, even if that is fact it is a worthless one because none of them would have been WANTING to come here.
Larry Brown has made this program relevant again just by signing his contract and its hilarious to read all of the doom and gloom recruiting shtick on this board. We are on the freaking Harrison twins final list for Gods sake so how can ANYONE complain!

In the end, being on final lists doesn't really matter, it's all about being the one picked. If we land them, hell, sure, I'm sure most here will agree with you. Until then, LB still has lengths to go to prove himself. Just so everyone knows, he has not won a game yet and has not landed a major recruitment that is not a transfer.

He did keep the '12 class together after they were left twisting in the wind for five weeks. I'm sure a huge assist goes to Hobbie and Doh for that, but Brown did keep them all in the fold.

I fail to see how recruiting a player from another school is different than recruiting a player out of high school as far as kudos is concerned --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?fcrezi

Exactly. Everyone has been PRAISING UNLV for their transfers, but on this board if SMU is involved its never good enough.
