Not sure if this has been posted before but I just saw a newspaper article that said that Jeremiah has transferred to Tennessee Tech - I wish him well. He played hard and was fun to watch; however, he was not going to lead SMU to better things.
Haven't seen anything on the other players that were cut. Does anyone have any info on them?

All the best, Jeremiah. Thanks for your contributions on the Hilltop, and good luck at your new school.

Good luck Jfrog.

http://polkpreps.blogs.theledger.com/13 ... ssee-tech/intersting where it reads: Samarrippas chose Tennessee Tech over Mississippi State, UCF, UNC Wilmington, William and Mary and Tulane. so he had some D1 offeres. but to Tenn Tech he doesn't have to sit out one year. anyway, good luck.

did he get a waiver? Tenn Tech is D-I and plays in the Ohio Valley Conference. He will probably have to sit a year

If you get cut by a new coach coming in, I don't think you should have to sit out a year. But, I think most of the NCAA rules are full of c...

I agree in the case of a guy who does not get his scholarship renewed...he should be able to transfer w/o sitting out

Hard to believe he'd pass up the chance to stay in Florida and pass up UCF. He'd also play in a big conference and play a certain team twice that gave up on him. Maybe they just offered him a walk-on spot.

JFrog always gave 100% here. I loved his hustle and love of the game. I hope he does well with his new team.

Kid would probably rather play minutes than sit out all year like he would have done at SMU. Same thing would have happened at Miss. St., UCF, etc.

Correct. That is my point. It's no use beating this horse anymore anyway now that he has moved on. I wish him the best. He always gave 100% for us.
