DCTF Magazine Cover
I have heard about the cover but I just picked up my copy of DCTF. Now before some of our Frog friends jump down my throat, I have tremendous respect for the job Gary Patterson has done over at TCU, it is nothing short of a miracle.
Having said that, my lord! That is just awful! Someone really needs to pull GP aside and explain to him the Knit T Shirt look", or whatever you call it, is not a good look for him.
For the first time in the 35+ years I have been reading that publication, I ripped the cover off.
Anyway I have had my say. 5:30 on September 2nd can not get here fast enough!

I don't think he cares what anybody thinks about how he dresses, only his winning percentage.

Arkansas is very confident they can get him for their new coach next year. Curious as to what our froggie friends have to say about that.

Hadn't heard that Mrydel. If it is offered he would be a fool to turn it down. One of the best coaching jobs in America (when ya win, of course, and stay off bikes with blondes)
Long live Inez Perez!

True, you can tell he's a type-A, largely joyless workaholic that probably keeps an enemies list.

It's not going to happen, especially how they treated him when they last hired him.

This: he knows (and readily admits) he isn't well-groomed or a polished speaker, and he doesn't care that he isn't.

FrogSnob, why would you even say that?

I didn't say it wasn't a fact, just why would a "ponyfan" pee on his own team to support
another team?

It didn't look like that poster was "peeing" on SMU, it was just a comparison of facts in which the SMU representative didn't fare well.

Impressive indeed.
Now, apples to apples.
I feel if we stayed in CUSA, JJ's winning % would creep up close to that over the next 4-5 years (only saying staying in CUSA as it compares more to the history of TCU in the MW). It still might in the BE. However, I don't see JJ still here in 5 years. Give it a few more years. Let's check back in, say, 3 years and see (JJ's % will continue to go up (we should stay over .500 at least) and I bet Patterson stays the same or very slightly decreases in the Big12 - don't see them only losing 1-2 games per year in the Big12 but maybe).

I'm bored and will play. How is Arky one of the best jobs in the country? GP makes 3.5MM ish now and the school builds anything he wants. Sounds like he would be a fool to leave IMO.
