If we were down to our last scholarship, the coaches made the right call in giving it to Stavion Lowe. I haven't seen any reports of off-field issues with him, and we have a far bigger need on the offensive line than at running back, where we're pretty deep already.

At least we think we are pretty deep at RB. I know they did okay after ZL got hurt last year but we lost our speed back and the teams we play in 2013 will be better than the teams we ended with in 2011. We will see.

He did for a year. Then went to Lamar

I believe Larry Kueck coached on Ron Meyer's staff at SMU in the late 1970s. Took a head coaching job at Lamar in the 1980s. Then Lamar decided to shut down there football program. Lamar brought their football program back a few years ago and now I guess Coach Kueck is back there.
