TCU Game

Post by AusTxPony »

I have often wondered if a bye week before a BIG game is good or bad. How have we done in the last three years after a bye? Archives, anyone? My thoughts are that in this case it will be good, since we will have two games against good competition and will know what to work on. Also, will be able to get people well if necessary and add a few new wrinkles. We need to win this one for sure.

Is this confirmed for a Saturday afternoon game? Any chance it gets moved?

I love all of you.

Schedule can move up to ten (I believe) days before the scheduled game.

Since this is our Super Bowl Game, according to Holier than thou Gary Patterson, so SMU needs the two weeks to prepare

We typically do well in the bowl games, which have much longer layovers. If the coaches are keyed in, we spoiled be fired up.

Looking at TCU's new Big 12 schedule, it is quite possible that if we beat them, they might not be bowl eligible. That would make this "their" super bowl.

It's gonna be tough this year with GP refusing to help us and all.

We are still reletively thin at many positions. Good time to heal all those nagging bruses from the start of the season.

Yeah, that is a little strong. TCU will probably lose three or four and possibly up to five if we beat them. They will win 6 even if things go south.

Now A&M might not be bowl eligible even if they beat us - and if we beat them they will almost definitely not be bowl eligible.

Our inexperienced OL might need an extra week of coaching after we see their early performances. Plus every week of practice that Gilbert can get in will only make him a stronger presence.

Texas is their Super Bowl and will be for as long as they're in the Big 12 together.
