Obviously they have a bit more assertive recruiting philosophy.

SMU joins the ranks of Ohio State, Wisconsin and other teams by not picking through the bones of a once proud program. As one who was around for '87, I'm okay with allowing kids to come here, just not going on PSU campus to recruit. Not sure we will get any of them, however I'd rather not be like TCU in this area of coaching.

Come on, have more confidence in you r SMU football program. We need a kicker and could at least have spoken with him to see if there was any interest. It never hurts try. All it takes is a phone call. Also, those are conference teams and we are not part of that conference.
By the way, when we got put on the DP Penn State was done here in a heartbeat as this article shows. And as you should know. I remember our campus was swamped with colleges.

I agree with Boston Pony, anything hard to do don't even try. That seems to works well in the business world right?

Well since Jones has been quoted as saying he is not going for them unless they call first I guess we do have actual info.ponyboy wrote:As does judging without actual information.
