NCAA Closing in on Miami?

Post by Stallion »

Florida WR Coach prominently mentioned in Miami scandal suddenly resigns from Florida. Rumors suggesting several former Miami Coaches may be receiving Show Cause citations based on Miami investigations.

Where this case is going to become really interesting is if the NCAA takes into account the violations that occurred during Golden's tenure.

http://www.newser.com/article/da0533980 ... staff.html

If the NCAA takes these into account, given their track record outside the Ped. State Scandal, the potential punishments could include:

1. Reduce cheerleader scholarships by 3 over four years.
2. Vacate defeats from the 2011 season.
3. The admissions committee must admit at least 15 coeds from Ohio per year for a period of at least 5 years.
4. Professors must take attendance at least twice per month during months that start with the letter "J", except in the case where a federal holiday falls in that month.
5. Florida Atlantic and at least three other Sun Belt teams must serve 6 years of probation for all Athletic Teams and will no longer be allowed to recruit in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana or Texas. The three other teams will be determined upon their final record this season (the top three finishers).
6. All Miami players must register their firearms with the athletic department prior to their first game for the next two seasons, excluding all concealable weapons or weapons the NRA says are hunting weapons.
7. All games after the month of September must be played in Miami where the NCAA Executive Staff will personally, voyeuristically supervise South Beach Gentlmen's Club operations and potential player baby mamas. The focus will be on the proper application of coconut oil and glitter.

The NCAA will have a hard time justifying these harsh sanctions. They will find a way to do it, but the tragic consequences of these sanctions will affect the program for an entire 7 or 8 minutes.

There were rumors down here when this scandal started that Shannon was the bag man when he was the DC.

I have no idea if it is true. It is important to note that I live 45 minutes from UF and any rumor that negatively impacts FSU or to a lesser extent Miami is taken as gospel and happily repeated.

Here in Oregon, I get alot of talk about Oregon and USC. I am sorry, but to hear Kiffen talk about the USC "death penalty" and their recovery is sickening.

When the Bush saga occured, the recent Ole' Miss head coach was the head of recruiting at USC and of course Kiffen himself was an offensive assistant. Well both back at USC, now as head coach and again as head of recruiting--the NCAA is a farce. The coaches are required to sign a form annually that they do not knowingly cheat, etc. these two should have been banned from NCAA coaching positions for a decade as well as the rest of that USC staff.

Stop playing for two years, have every coach essentially leave coaching, and have the AD quit, that is the "death penalty" you lying talking piece of [deleted]!
