Personally, I hate stripes for us, but if you do stripes on the jersey, do it like this:

The beauty about the new jerseys is no different than the Dallas weather... if you don't like 'em, sit tight and they'll change.

Most schools (especially 'lower revenue programs')change regularly to maintain a sense of improvement and boost apparel sales.
In the Nebraska/TCU/VT etc cases Nike pushes those unis on the schools, and flaunt $$ at them and they change the unis for a game or a season.

In our case, June's good about taking input from team leaders on what they would like the identity of the team to be.
Uniforms are relitively unimportant to most fans (even though everyone will have an opinion on a patch placement or stripe size) but the players will take a lot of pride in the uniforms.

There's input, and then there's too much input. Can't forget the Mike Cavan New York Jets debacle. We'll be fine. I feel confident that whatever the design, color, configuration... ponyfans will be 100% in support of the uniform.

Bring these back without the stripe:

I like the simple clean look of the jerseys with "SMU" big and bold on the front. Nike did it once they could do it again. I guess Jones has a facination for stripes on the jerseys.

Those new Wyoming uniforms are hideous and everyone knows it. One day a team will officially "jump the shark tank" when they arrive on the field and instead of cheers hear only jeers and laughter. Hope that doesn't happen to us.....
