PonyFans.com VIDEO: Interview with DAN MORRISON

Post by PonyPride »

SMU associate head coach/offense Dan Morrison visited Thursday with PonyFans.com to discuss a number of quarterbacks-related topics, including Morrison's first impressions of transfer Garrett Gilbert, how Gilbert is adjusting to his new teammates and offense, Morrison's expectations for backups Conner Preston, Garrett Krstich and Neal Burcham, and whether Morrison and head coach June Jones plan to redshirt Burcham in 2012.

PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Great job.....interesting how excited Coach is with these QB's...he never talked like this in years past...he always hesitated in his evaluations.

I like Coach Morrison - very positive guy knowing he's not just developing football players but young men. He might be a little TOO laid back for me personally, but he seems to be a great guy that one would really like to play for.

This.

I can't wait to see what kind of numbers Zach Line can put up once teams realize they have to play deep to defend the deep ball.

I feel like I'm smarter about quarterbacks every time I hear Coach Morrison talk.

Thanks for these interviews, webguys. They're fantastic.

Very articulate and precise in his answers and thought process. I can understand now why he is so highly regarded and liked by the QBs.

Agreed. Wasn't he a school teacher before he became a coach? It's easy to picture that.
