Hobbie in NC

Postby well travelled pony » Sat Aug 11, 2012 7:24 pm

While I am working, my wife and son sat next to Jerry Hobbie and Buzz Peterson at a restaurant in Wilmy NC. She said she would tell me more when i got off work.

lets hope its not a job interview, cause he's the only reason we're in it for Roberson. So far our contract killers aren't as effective as ol'Hobbs

While I live in Cary, I am in Wilmy working on a TV show.
Hobbie was visiting old friends in NC and scoping thing out for SMU. He loves SMU and like everyone is the jazzed by having the Larry Brown hype. Having so many contacts from the Dean Smith tree, he is excited that the perception of the BB world that SMU is stepping up with the big boys. Also out with them was recently hired uncw bb ops head Dante Calabria. (Another chapel hill guy.)
Needless to say they all commented that they expected to have SMU in the mix for a lot of top east coast talent. Hobbie expects that eith all that SMU has to offer plus LB = a new top program.

Ha, very cool. And thanks for updates. Very cool and random.
