I have no idea how many UNT coeds/alumni have appeared in Playboy, obviously you must think SMU must have had more. I do know that UNT has produced quite a few Miss Texas' and at least one Miss America.... So what does that say, I guess that both school are blessed with a fair share of beauties but the SMUers are more disposed to take off there clothes for public viewing........CLASSY
Please..classy women from Denton vs the Park Cities??
Let's not go there...

As a Chicagoland poster, I am sorry that Northwestern will be dropped. The number of graduates up here is quite high, but I understand the logic, which is have a regional focus and improve the chances for a W. When we are playing .750 ball, we willneed to improve our schedule with BCS teams, but I can wait.
As for non-conference opponents, here is my take:
- TCU
- Baylor with the option of rotating with UNT
- Annual game against one of the academies
If we go to a twelve game schedule, would we pick up another CUSA East game or a non-conference team, such as Texas Tech, Arkansas, Northwestern or Wake Forest?

Pony Up
the paper did say this morning that we are dropping OSU, apparently keeping Texas Tech on the schedule but also trying to pick up Arkansas State. I think they are trying to do everything they can to pick up more than one win in September (San Jose State was the last weekend in September this past season.)

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?
Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.

I agree on nixing ArSt. IMO, we should have 3 non-conf games on 3 levels:
W Level- a winnable game (UNT 'type' game) or Academy
C Level- competitive game TCU/BAYLOR
$ Level- Show Me The Money game A&M, ARK, etc.
No Arkansas State, please. I would rather play La Tech in theory, if we can compete athletically. If we can't match up with schools that recruit more loosely than we do, we might as well play A&M or Texas Tech and take our lumps once a year and at least get paid.

Thanks, I didn't want to be the one to have to say it. Did anybody see how good those traditional "cellar dwellers" were last year?

A ninth conference game would be very unlikely, since it throws off the home/away balance. I would like to see something like your above schedule and use the 12th game to play a bigger name (hopefully former SWC) school, like Arkansas or A&M.

That's it, I'm transferring.

Seriously, what this series needs is a trophy. How about we get an old safeway shopping cart? The Kart Klash... a modern classic.

UNT breaks the lull
I wanted to take a winter break form football, but the UNT game has brough me out of hibernation to say "pluck the Eagles" (you know what I really wanted to say don't you). I do dread hering from MeanGreenGem again. As for a NC schedule, I go with the usual formula of One easy win, One even matchup, and one BIG money game with a Big 12/BCS team.

OK, as an SMU alum, I am still willing to call genius when I see it.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
