According to his tweets, he'll be at SMU on Monday. Dude needs to get on the field and go to work/learn real quicklike. I wonder what kind of shape he's in. I guess we'll see soon enough.

I wouldn't expect Holloway to be in great shape. I don't think he worked out with the team this summer, and he has not played since high school in 2010. I expect him to redshirt this year, hopefully get in shape this fall, and play some scout team. No question with his speed he can turn out to be a good player for us, if he is willing to work at it.

I agree.

Has potential to be way more than just "good" IMHO but all these delays are really slowing his development (hitting with Hunt would help him not to mention the weight room advances he could be have been making all this time).

Right, but I wonder what the specific issue is. I'm pretty sure he attended class all Spring. Is it a grades thing?

Still waiting on the NCAA but I think it would be a good thing if he redshirts. We need him for all 4 of his eligible years in the BE not CUSA. We are good at DE this year in the CUSA IMO.

wow - disagree we are fine at DE. I think that is a weak spot after Margus (I certainly didnt mean you Mr Hunt, sir). Ill bet if he gets cleared he ends up playing.

Our starters on the defensive line are fine, and they have all had good production when in the game. Depth after our 3 starters is what is suspect.

Based on what? He might be a great athlete (we all hope he is), but isn't he relatively new to football? Have you ever seen him play, enough so that you can describe something about why he should play as a freshman? And even if he were cleared today, didn't he sit out of school last fall and then miss all but about two days of practice in the spring? I'm rooting for the kid like crazy, but unless he's the second coming of Bruce Smith, I want to see him redshirt NO MATTER WHAT and then crack some skulls next year.
