Monday is Labor Day..the Sunday factor isn't germane and its only 90 minutes south of Dallas. We will turn out well.

We only take a 1,000 or do to Fort Worth on a non-holiday weekend.....hard to see is taking several thousand even farther away on the same weekend that a lot of people go out of town. Hopefully we will.

You guys brought over 3k to Fort Worth last year. I saw the broadcast and I know how many the sections SMU fans filled and how much those sections hold.

I don't know how many SMU brought but 3k seems high. That would've been 9% of the stadium with our reduced capacity. I was NE EZ last year by the visitors section and it didn't look to me like 20% of the east side was SMU fans.

I thought SMU had a solid turnout given their low allotment and the scarcity of tickets available due to capacity being only 32-33k. I'd guesstimate that they brought 1-1.5k last season. And I'm sure they'll bring more in 2013.

I remember us getting bagged on by several FW types after the game last year for low attendance, but I am pretty sure we sold our allotment and were limited with the scarcity of tix (as you mentioned). The typical SMU crowd to FW is around 3-4K. The most I ever saw was in '97 when were playing for a bowl and lost to that miserable previously winless frog team. It seems we brought around 7K to that game.

When you lose you revert to attendance smack. We lost, so I'm not surprised some of our fans would revert to that weak sauce.

Yeah I'm pretty sure we were only able to offer a 1k allotment to y'all this year. And I think the normal allotment was 3-4k (aren't y'all giving us 4k?). Anyways, y'all had a good showing, but I think it was just a scarce ticket in a reduced capacity stadium. 3k in our stadium last year would've meant a sea of red on the east side stretching from at least the back of the EZ to the 15-20 yard line. I didn't remember it looking like that, but I wasn't exactly committing the crowd distribution to memory.

i would guess 2.5 to 3k. It was well more then 1.5 There were more then i would have thought given theprevailing opinion about the odds of a win, and the small alotment. The attendees were richly rewarded for their trip.

I think we all discussed that our TCU alotment last year was 2,000 due to reduced seating-of course some may have bought from other sources
