While we may not like them, wonder what the players think?

I see no problem with them. I'd like a blue one, but they are pretty much exactly what I exprcted

Re: Nike Jerseys?
Not too bad, given what Nike has done to others across the country
That's not to say that they are good, though

Re: Nike Jerseys?
If the outer stripes were blue rather than white it wouldnt look as bad... With the number being outlined in blue and not having it outlined in blue on the shoulder stripes it creates an imbalance. Also I'd rather have SMU on the front rather than the mustang.... We have the mustang on the helmet and the pants, I think everyone recognizes the mustang logo from that. I think Nike was more focused on the bigger schools and just threw something together for us.

I cannot see the link he posted, but I saw the jerseys posted on Facebook.
1)Number 12 looks like he belongs of my nephew's freshman HS football team.
2)Number 71 looks like he is wearing a mesh girdle that is losing the war.
3)The stripes on the shoulders looke like they belong on a marching band uniform.
4)Why do we need numbers on the shoulders? Aren't the shoulders busy enough with the horific stripes?
5)No neck or shoulder details like the Frogs
6)Do we really need a little pony on the jersey and both legs of the pants?
Do unto others before they do unto you!!

Re: Nike Jerseys?
Pretty conservative which is good. All I care about is what the players / recruits think. A couple players I communicated with don't really care all that much, just happy that it's Nike.
I'm assuming that the helmets are going untouched??
In all my fashion design wisdom:
- "SMU" big and above the logo on the front.
- Replace the white stripe with blue and white border on the home jerseys.
- Put blue border around numbers on the sleeve on home jersey.
- What's with the mesh under the numbers? I'm sure it helps with cooling in the early part of the season but don't like that.
Other than that, I'm good.
Fashion police moving on. Now, back to football.

Much too conservative. No snazz at all.

Completely agree with this.
When we run the table and play in a BCS bowl, everyone will love these.

Re: Nike Jerseys?
Lose the freeking stripes...jeez.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: Nike Jerseys?
Maybe we won't see a mustang on the helmet w all these other mustangs.
Re: Nike Jerseys?
The Blue on the numbers creates a imbalance and kinda makes it look cartoonish, I am a teenager(16) (who these jerseys are supposedly supposed to appeal to with recruiting, not me specifically but people my age who actually play football) and I find these jerseys hideous looking, it would've been better if they just got rid of the blue on the numbers and went 100% red and white with the way the way the jerseys were designed. While I think my generation would think the blue looks good, it is used horribly with the jersey because it is only on the outline of the number and not part of the shoulders/stripes. That is my critique on these new jerseys, and I do pray they have blue alternates.
Also I would like to request someone photoshop savvy to switch the jersey to blue nd the number outline to red.

An SMU fan from the other D.

Re: Nike Jerseys?
How do you put possibly the two most unathletic looking players on the team in a facebook photo to thousands of people? This is just bush league marketing from whoever manages our social media (I am guessing some student intern?)
Maybe I'd like the uniforms better if Chris Parks and Margus were wearing them...
(This is to take nothing away from Neal and Chauncy, I think they will both do great things here. BUT they are freshman)
