Why are we always in the dark all the time about this stuff? Why is it so secretive?
TV IS included. Thad's video will be gaining more air time.
as far as being "in the dark all the time about this stuff". look at this message board. hell, just this thread. none of you guys can agree on anything. the LAST thing they need is a bunch of opinions to sort through. leave it to the experts.
the people who give enough time and money to the university aren't in the dark. the people who don't, are.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
It never hurts to overcommunicate, which is the very purpose of advertising anyway, to communicate your product and generate enthusiasm. We need a social media marketing type -- I'd hire someone straight out of Cox -- who does nothing but hit every social media outlet and overcommunicate upcoming marketing plans, promotions, etc.

Glad to finally see our investment being put to good use. I hated seeing that vid Thad put together sitting on a shelf. I really hope we are seeing the beginnings of an organized, assertive marketing campaign that will get butts in the stands.

whatver bud, you always know it all - i am saying just send out an email to MC members saying "look out for ...we have a new campaign..we are actually being proactive.." not everyone is on the MC Board or donates $10k+

I thought it was kind of amateurish ad desgn as well. But glad there is something.
Driving north on Central from N/W Hwy this morning I saw a digital billboard that flashed an SMU helmet and something. We are sharing this with other advertisers ...but more signs are a good sign Right Mrydel!

I assumed we were going to market the hell out of entrance into Big East even this year. Not so much.I'm not sure what I expected but with the Big East and the best non-BCS schedule in the Country this ain't it.
The AD change may explain the late start, but I believe our visibility in DFW will be increasing soon. Late is better than never. Now let's win a big game or two to really get things going.
The new AD officially came on board after this marketing campaign began. Kudos or criticism's should waid a bit. He only addressed the head coaches the first time less than two weeks ago.
