Attention: SMU SID
I'm glad to see "SMU Fan Shop" sections in various stores such as Kroger at Dr Pepper station and CVS.
But...We still apparently have serious problems using the real Peruna logo.
Phony ponies. Phony ponies everywhere. (This was at CVS by the bookstore)

Why is this still an issue?

What is the difference between the phony pony and the real one?

I never noticed it until I started reading this forum, but they really are pervasive. I saw one in the men's basketball locker room. If the school can't get it right, how can we expect the Chinese sweatshop that makes beer holders?

That may be a key reason for the errors.DanFreibergerForHeisman wrote:It's even wrong on the NCAA website:BigT3x wrote:I never noticed it until I started reading this forum, but they really are pervasive. The issue occurs because the production company has an old approved license from years ago that they aren't resumbitting for approval every time they print. I can assure you that no new license gets approved with a phony pony. I probably send back one a day for correction.
We may have to cancel all licenses and require companies to start from scratch before we totally irradicate the phony pony...
Be sure to buy some of the other inventory. That's how we increase selection and number of sales points... By showing people want SMU gear. Thanks to all. #PonyUp

Sorry, I'm just getting over being excited that actual retail chains are carrying SMU gear in Dallas, something that's been bitched about on here for 8 years. What's the issue again?
If you don't like it, buy every piece of gear in the store, donate it to charity, and write it off for tax purposes. Win, win, win.
