Ranking the new CUSA Recruiting Classes

Postby Water Pony » Fri Feb 11, 2005 10:44 pm

Here is a link to Collegefootballnews and their take on the 2005 Recruiting Classes for the new Conference USA. We are at #7. What is your reaction? :?: I like our class.

I wonder why the Pony write-up is so small compared to all the other schools. In any event, only time will tell. I also like our new class considering our results the last three years.

At first blush, Bill, one might think it was our recruiting class.

But you know, you can Google search ["Justin Willis" AND "Denton Ryan"] & get nearly 300 'hits', so information on the STAR of the CLASS is not wanting.

Don't want to point a finger, but in almost every sport, we continue to get little or no coverage (local or national). We may have to discuss if the problem is a deficient Marketing Dept or a coaching staff(s) that continues to miss opportunities to reach prospective athletes (and fans) by use of the media.

Because that list wasn't written by the guys at PonyFans -- nobody covers SMU like these guys do. Get planted 1500 miles away, and you'll learn to love this site even more.
