I'd kinda want to see a FCS powerhouse join... like App State or Delaware... but to keep you guys happy I'd say BYU if a tv deal that works with them and their tv deal comes about.

Southern are in a good market, Delaware is an okay market and would fit in geographically. Eastern Washington could possibly pull in bandwagon viewers from all over like Boise St and provide a close rival to Boise not to mention provide a possible rivalry between Eastern wash and wash state. Norfolk State is in a great market but old dominion beat them to the FBS punchline. Penn and Nova aren't anything special in football in my opinion, but Nova does already have the BE ties and is still in a great market especially if they can grow their fanbase and market their rivarly with Temple the right way.

Other than that the markets are average to bad and is the reason why they are FCS in the first place.

Tulsa, Army, BYU and Nova are the only schools that may any national sense. ND will remain independent so long as they are given all the special priviledges by the NCAA and BCS and their fan base holds strong.

FCS is a non starter

Clearly they are thinking AFA BYU ND - he said there were several ind available...not looking to raid anyone.

BYU may re-think the opportunity considering it would be UL CINCY SDSU SMU HOU BSU in their division - that gets them into TX CAL and RUST BELT area, plus 3 cross over games (1 or 2 east coast)

Since he said that he would not raid another conference I don't think Tulsa would be in the picture. Army, BYU, and Nova would be in play though IMO.

UMass just made the jump in football and has had prior Top 20 success in Basketball. BC/ACC control what there is of the Boston college sports market, but adding UMass could help with TV contract. UMass has as much or more potential as UConn did when UConn made the jump...

I agree with this list with BYU the more likely and desireable candidate, since ND will not come to the table. BYU gives the national brand, quality FB and a natural partner for BSU and SDSU in the West. They may or not be bringing all sports, although I would welcome their BB and more. We already have ND in all sports, except FB, but they might commit to three BE games a year.
