I am sick of June Jones offense
1st and goal from 5 with a huge rb who always falls forward and we keep throwing. I am so sick of this antiquated offense. No tight end. No I formation. Shotgun every time. We never run no huddle. Defenses get into a groove vs SMU. Because they see the same damn thing every play.
So frustrating!!!

What? You don't like the run and chuck? (I agree with you. It seems like we have way to many 3 and outs over the years with this offense.)
Re: I am sick of June Jones offense
Would be nice if June joined the 21st century.

He needs to attend Coach Nick Saban's coaching clinic.

Re: I am sick of June Jones offense
How many times do we have to pass pass pass kick/pick in the red zone before we learn to pass it to our goddamn amazing running back?Charleston Pony wrote:proble is we don't have players the caliber of Nick Saban's

June has no clue how to recruit players on that level, hell he can even recruit on Art Briles level.

we can offer all day long but we aren't going to recruit successfully against the bigf boys of college football; last time we did that successfully it was because we paid better. We can't pay better than the big boys anymore

Maybe start with a smart game-plan. This won't work next week either.

We'll be fine against SFA, A&M and TCU not so much.

Its very fair to question the playcalling and formation choices inside the 10. This team has consistently struggled to punch it in within the 10 yd line. We need a package to find a way to do that. We need a TE set, or some kind of goal line formation.

June is a legend in his own mind.. Seriously, we couldn't score the first time we were at their goalline and then the 2nd time, we try to pass rather than give it to Line?
Re: I am sick of June Jones offense
I've defended JJ because he got SMU to 3 bowl games in the last 3 years. No more, cause I'm tired of seeing an unproductive "run 'n bullsheet" offense. If another college comes knocking like ASU did last year, I hope JJ takes the job.

Big boys? I just want us to start beating some mid-tier BCS programs but the only way we're going to do that is if we get a staff that can recruit. Don't say it can't be done because plenty of programs are doing it. We don't have to recruit like a freaking Sun Belt team.

My gloves have come off..........JJ has been here long enough to get his this stuff right---especially since he's such a guru.........and stop having the qb come over to him.davidpaul123 wrote:Its very fair to question the playcalling and formation choices inside the 10.
