Re: Positves
Tough to give game balls in this effort, but Coach Palcic would get one. Fabulous job in getting the young OL ready to play, on the other end, what happened to out D, out of position most of the night with our LB's and front seven looking lost, which caused even more pressure placed on our inexperienced secondary.

Agree. Our D lacks talent everywhere except Acker and at LB (although even the LBs didn't play well - Sanders, who I love, blew a couple of plays and JG was a nonfactor jumping offsides - Reed played ok). We are weakest at safety. Love Ryan Smith as a kid but he's not very good and the rest are worse.larskjenstad wrote:Tough to give game balls in this effort, but Coach Palcic would get one. I actually liked the new uniforms. The stripes on the helmet looked better.
I hate opening on the road against a very well coached Big Twelve team. This team is going to take a while to gel. It is going to be a brutal September, but they are going to win at least as many as they lose, primarily because CUSA looks so weak this year. The OL looked better than I thought it would but the play selection rightfully took some of the pressure off of them. Disappointed in the D overall. I'm not qualified to evaluate Gilbert given all of the variables.
