Problem is I don't see many possible answers on our roster to the questions raised tonite. This was a clinic on a huge weakness-every team is going to watch this film. Baylor does have an incredible receiving corp-give them props. TCU does too.

baylor's receivers are the best in the big 12 and maybe top 5 in the country. that is the only thing to feel better about here.

Parks will be fine. Safteys didn't cover over the top, that hurt. We have found ways to scheme around a lot worse than him in the past. He is much better than Bennie Thomas. To answer Stallion's question, the players on the roster are Randolph and Montes.
Someone commented on Hunt. He was doubled on every single play. Our linemen are supposed to occupy and allow the LBs to make plays. They did that - they weren't getting blown off the ball down field. The LBs were slow to fill the gaps, did not rush the passer, and did not play well at all in my opinion.

Re: We are in trouble at corner
No pressure will get every CB beat, and it did. Baylor's offensive line did a really good job in protection.
And #2 is a backup LB (Yenga) who played what, 5 minutes? 10?
Maybe you're thinking of someone else?
Corner is one of those positions, like RB or WR, where a freshman can play on raw athletic ability. So it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see one of the freshmen JasonB mentioned get in the lineup before the season is half over.

no question that early roughing call hurt...but it also exposed a very fragile team that must still think they can't beat teams like Baylor and A&M. We'll see how they respond to this

Re: We are in trouble at corner
hmm going to have to watch replay. It seemed to me that most of Baylor's big passing play happened in well executed quick developing pass plays which hinder much of a pass rush.
OK. I watched the ESPN highlites which include 3 big time Baylor pass plays. Its called Offensive Execution. Quick releases -Very little chance in any of the 3 passing TDs to get a pass rush.

Re: We are in trouble at corner
My guess is that there was trouble coordinating the coverage between the safetys and corners, between run support and helping out the corners. These are things that can get cleaned up. Guys do not get that open without some blown coverage.
Having one on one coverage answered that in the short term. Parks had close coverage against top receiver(s) on a couple of those long TDs. I did not feel too bad about that as it forced a very good to perfect pass and Baylor just executed those.
I advise patience.
