Double OT win by the Red Raiders over Kansas, 80-79. First loss for KU this year. (I am by no means a TT fan! But this was a great game to watch on TV.)

Would SMU have hired Knight?

Postby Sam I Am » Tue Feb 15, 2005 12:14 am

Bobby Knight has made Tech a respectable BB school. Better yet, he has generated fan support that SMU can only dream about. When he was in disgrace at Indiana, I wonder if SMU would have taken a chance and hired him like Tech was able to do. Of course, Knight would not have considered us, so his is only conjecture.

I believe that the last time TT beat a 2nd ranked team the victim was SMU. Bobby has done a good job but Dickey also had TT there for a couple of years. Good baskletball is not a new thing at TT. It would be more surprising at SMU.

Thanks for the catch, Cheesesteak. I should have said first Big XII loss.
