That guy is a clown... He must be on laughing gas because whenever he talks it like somebody just told him a hilarious joke. The end of his own statements are muffled by his own laughter.Treadway21 wrote:As long as Chris Collingsworth doesn't do any of our games, I am ok with NBC.

I have heard from people inside smu gemerald counsel's office, who were in the room for th BE negotiations and they were guaranteeing 10million minimum but for realistically around 15 per team for their tv rights.
From a pure media perspective the BE has the most valuable tv rights (or Hey porentially will be if they can creat a competative on field product). All 4 time zones, 4 of the 10 largest media markets equals huge pay day.

But outside of the local markets, does anybody really care about the Big East teams for football?Pony_Law wrote:I have heard from people inside smu gemerald counsel's office, who were in the room for th BE negotiations and they were guaranteeing 10million minimum but for realistically around 15 per team for their tv rights.

Obviously they do. Get a grip, man.

Can't you say that about any conference?PonySnob wrote:But outside of the local markets, does anybody really care about the Big East teams for football?
I know I could care less about any of the other conferences other than the really huge games - which has always been true for the BIG EAST teams as well.

apparently ESPN wouldnt make a comment on the deal to their own reporters, and then made a comment on the no comment...haha, what a bunch of hacks.
