I don't know that anyone on our OL would sniff the field if they played for A&M.
Good point. Let's check.
Seaver Myers (who is out with injury) chose SMU over aTm. Freshman.
Jordan Free (starting) chose SMU over TCU. Senior.
Stavion Lowe (transfer who is injured) is now at SMU with offers from every major SEC and Big12 school, including aTm. Junior.
Ben Gottschalk (starting) chose SMU over some Big12/Pac12 offers (Cali kid). Junior.
Bryan Collins (starter) chose SMU over SEC and Big12 offer. Senior.

A&M has one of the best o-lines in the country, not a single one of our starters would start for them.
They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Not saying their o-line is bad, but.......one of the best in the country??......give me a break. Sounds like somebody's been reading the cult like propaganda over at texags.

He said "sniff the field" not START. But I'm not arguing any opinion, was just looking at the comparisons.

Funny, I don't recall that happening when we beat TCU in Fort Worth last year, but maybe I missed it.
A$M is a big bad public school, we are just a small private cow college out west with several thousand less kids than your ritzy Dallas school. Besides- I would expect the vet school at A$M to
have easier time developing the flying pigs than our ranch management kids.

It's awesome what TCU has done. Absolutely ridiculous how they passed us in terms of branding/winning (although the Mountain West wasn't exactly the SEC). However, they are still a very good program. We have more to sell about SMU but we are playing catch up to them for sure. As for aTm and Tech, I have no respect. At least UT and Baylor are good schools (with Rice being the best).

plus, the TCU guys I know don't take themselves as seriously as the A&M guys do. Much more fun to eff with them than the TCU fans.

Nope. Most sites have us at anywhere between #2 and #7 in the nation. Here's an ESPN writer that has us at #5.

Clearly our wideouts are smaller than theirs. But our OL is bigger, averaging three pounds more per starter, Zach Line is bigger than Christine Michael, and Garrett Gilbert is bigger than than Manziel.
Regarding talent, yes they're probably more talented overall, especially on the line. But who do you like better, Gilbert or Manziel? Who do you like better at RB? Who on the Aggies would you take over Darius?
All of them. Michael, Malena, and Williams would be your 3-deep at SMU.

No, our 3-deep would be Line, Michael, and Malena. In that order.
Line is a stud. I thought he had graduated. Looking forward to seeing him at the next level. That three deep would be sick. Put Line and Michael in an i-formation and pound defenses to death.
