A&M tickets were $50 last year and I needed a hyperbaric chamber afterward to recover from the altitude sickness...

tell the m to stay home then. The tickets are priced just like they will be priced for aggie at every other away game they play. We will collect the money from all their other aggie friends and be fine. If it is 95% attendance instead of 100 - and the 5% is all aggie, then great.

Exactly why the Aggies can just deal with these prices. $50 for those tickets was an absolute joke.

Simple math says you don't cut prices 20% to increase attendance 10%.
Sellout is unlikely
I get that, but it'll be 90% full.
we can agree to disagree, it's dumb and it's not Cowboys Stadium. Especially when your season tickets are $125. I haven't paid more than $30 for any SMU away games.[/quote]
you can get cheap seats still. The bleachers aren't $100.

Re: Some Aggies saying general tickets to high
In my opinion we should not have charged so much. Even SMU fans were charged $75 for a seat, which is a slap in the face for those of us who have sat through such lean times. The fact that the game has not sold out is a clear indication that prices were too high.
And of course, SMU fans have not taken the chance to increase home fan numbers....

The Aggies I know bought mini plans for just a bit more than the single game price---and they were glad to do so.

Keeps out the riff-raff.

Just make sure you and EVERY SMU FAN YOU KNOW is there tomorrow, regardless of weather.
Also, at this game more than any other in recent memory, it's important for everyone to shut down the tailgate and get in to the stadium BY KICKOFF. Let's not let the stupid Aggies give it a Kyle Field feel from the start.

Actually tell your friends the game day enviroment is just so much better hear in Dallas and in particular SMU. You won't find very many travel planners around the world with College Station as a chosen destination to visit unless you have agricultural, veterinary and dairy interests besides the Bush library. Tell them to come to the Boulevard where it is all about quality, not quantity. Yes we don't have organized farmer cheers and most of the fans are too laid back and rarely stand and our band is small but again it is about quality. My experience at the ag-smu game last year was one of the biggest disappointments I have had attending a sporting event. Traffic problems to and from the game, limited parking, few trees for shade, congestion and dust everywhere. The people and their "howdys" were nice but I would much rather be in a setting with a full stadium at 40-60k with room to tailgate and the best restaurants and hotels within minutes! Notice the above has no reference to the great ag traditions and sporting teams which with 50,000 plus Blinn/ag students a year is kind of like one gigantic Blinn college which so many are so proud of. It is great that so many are so proud and we commend those sacred aggie traditions and honor so many of your cadets who have served our country.

Nice post. We really do offer a high quality college football product, better than any other in the state when we've got a real opponent.

A&M tickets start at $60 for the FCS opponents, and $70+ for FBS. Some of their games start at $100 for the upper deck.
