Even the spare FSSW announcer made the point that Gilbert's first read on that 3rd down play should've been the man to man coverage at the top of the screen. He's gonna be the one that can catch the slant and get the 7 yards. Gilbert didn't even look there. Instead, he dumps it underneath.

there's probably a psych major who thinks that if we go for it on 4th down and fail the team will give up even more than they already have.

June, why the field goal knowing that it was worthless 3 points?
I wanted to get something to show the guys some reward.
June, Zack Line was driving and in the red zone you let Gilbert do what he did all game, throw terrible passes and let the team down. Why not let Zack at least try and earn the TD since he brought the team into the red zone.
I wanted to build GG confidence.
June, what about Zack's and the team's confidence?
