GILBERT IS NOT THE ANSWER OR A QB

Post by mustangpride101 »

I have never seen so many bad throws, bad reads, bad decisions, just bad play from a QB as I have seen from Gilbert in these passed 3 games. If we would have had McDermott or Kaiser or any other QB on the depth chart im sure they would have done much better. Gilbert is terrible...

he got hit early when Gottschalk used the "matador" blocking technique and just never got comfortable after that.

the play I was most disappointed in was his failure to make the little extra effort to pick up a critical 1st down early in the game when the defense was still playing great and desperately needed a blow. Instead, he went down in fetal position and missed the 1st down by 18 inches. That was very telling

Absolutely what makes me upset was that A&M QB should have been sacked three times and he got out of it and made a play, he also was smart about when to throw it away, and extremely smart about when to run, ...Gilbert did none of that...hes just doesnt have it at this level
