All of these posts really reinforce the original point. That is, it has been way too long since SMU had a real consistent outside threat. Almost 20 years? In today's game, the 3-point shot is not an unusual anomoly, it is an integral part of the game. Many teams shoot 15 to 20 a game. Like a monster dunk, it can be a real momentum changer. And with essentially every team being able to shoot it far better than SMU, SMU finds itself in a competitive disadvantage almost every game.
