How well does he move? What kind of quickness and change-of-direction does he have? Anyone know about his hips and flexibility?

If he's getting interest from Texas and TCU (as opposed just listing them because he grew up a fan or something -- HA! as if anyone could grow up a UT or TCU fan), then I imagine he's a pretty good overall athlete, not just a tall guy playing LB.

Greg is getting letters from all the big boys, A&M, UT, Miami. This kid seems to be the real deal and would be a coup to get him at SMU.

With the graduations next year of Rico Harris, D.D. Lee and Alvin Nnabuife (who I was told has been playing mostly LB in spring ball), linebacker should be a very high priority in the next recruiting class, right? We'll have Carrington back in 2006, but he has to show he can stay healthy. We'll have Clayton Cox and Avery Cleveland back, too, but Cox has yet to play and Cleveland has limited experience, so while they are both reportedly exceptional athletes, we don't really know what we have there. And we'll have Curtiss Powell (hopefully with a redshirt year under his belt) and Todd Alexander, but all recruits are unproven.

With all that in mind, I think this sounds like a very appealing guy. If the letters he's getting from Miami and A&M, etc., are indicative of genuine interest from those schools, then "me" might be right -- getting this guy could be a steal.

quite frankly a letter received from OU and Miami means nothing more at this point than the fact that he is on a computer generated list of perhaps a of thousand kids. I bet someone on this board might have access to SMU's list-which while not as large as OU's probably has 500-800 or so names on it. Letters mean absolutely nothing.
