Re: Rick Hart
JJ isn't going anywhere. One, SMU doesn't have the money to buy him out. Two, no one on this page is a T-Boone who can just pay for a new coach + new staff. Three, JJ won a bowl last year and in previous years. Four, conference play hasn't even started and the two losses were against to strong teams at a different stage than SMU. Five, no one in the administration has any clue that our previous recruiting class and our upcoming one lack BCS offers.
Crazy idea: Can we pay to bring Bennett back just to bring grit back to the team? Bennett should have never been a head coach, but his teams play with motivation.
End of the day, recruiting is the only problem. If JJ had the players, things would happen. Unfortunately, I don't see any players in the pipe line.

Don't forget an easy play book to defend against clearly it only beats the runts?
Also going 2-2 in this OOC would signal we are just avg, going 1-3 and even do amazing CUSA that would say we are the wash st of BCS teams...

Probably be just as bad as JJ at recruiting I'm over NFL coaches unless they have loyal recruiters that can make miracles

Re: Rick Hart
Playbook is fine. What are we supposed to do with the players on our roster, line up in an I-Formation? Balls were dropped. QB was off. Miscommunication on routes.......... How would the Run-N-Shoot do if Brees was at QB, Calvin Johnson was at WR, and Adrian Peterson was at RB? Exactly.
The players are what is missing. Hart needs to hire top tier recruiters. I'm no longer a believer that a Coach alone brings in the players.
It would also be nice to have some youth again at assistant coach like Valoria, Klemm etc...... Maybe we can hire TO as a WR coach. He's available.

I totally agree with you on recruiting but you picked 3 really good nfl players. The worst play book in the world would look good with them in. But what you are suggesting would be for us to recruit like bama, ut, ags, not what we can do with at best 4*s

Re: Rick Hart
Tulane went undefeated in 1998 running the Run-N-Shoot with:
Sean King at QB (Tampa Bay Bucs)
JaJuan Dawson at WR (Cleveland Browns0
Tony Converse at RB (Prison I think)
None of these guys were on Bama's radar. Tommy Bowden was coach, but he had a good staff in Rich Rodriguez and others who were able to spot players that get missed by the BCS teams.

Haha on the prison thing, Ok but who was their competition, seems like BYU was the best, just saying it can't beat the real football teams like Ags
