ULM's QB Kolton Browning was a 3 star in the '09 class out of Mabank, TX. His only other offer of note was Tulsa. He started at ULM as a RS-F and has developed over the last three years as their starter.
The coach is about 51 years old. He has had success at the I-AA level and I believe he bombed at Army.
ULM has only four FBS transfers and one Juco. Surprisingly small. They have 35 kids on their roster from Texas and 27 from Louisiana.

I wonder how painful the new AD and RGT will find it when people quit buying season tickets for next year, quit supporting the MC and cancel their pledge to 'second century'. School doesn't give a crap about our performance on the fball field why should the alums?Rebel10 wrote:June isn't getting fired by the new AD. I do think he wins just enough games to stay here. SMU just has to painfully gut to until he retires.

disagree - i think june is out of friends at the trustee level. We just could not afford to eat two years (4.5M). we can afford to eat one year.

Agree. A few chips fall the right (or wrong) way, and we are going to be in UNT's rear view mirror; not a good place to be.

That will be about the time that we need to drop fball and turn Ford into an outdoor swimming facility.

I think UL-Monroe beats Baylor on Friday night.

They can actually admit non-qualifiers through their university and have them pay in-state tuition for one year and then go on scholarship. SMU's tuition is $50,000 a year so that's a no-go. Louisiana has a bunch of quality athletes with poor transcripts as SMU has seen. Don't know enough about Utah St except they have a stud reasonably young Head Coach who was passed over for BYU job after building a strong resume. He likely will be the New Kid on the block everybody wants at end of the year. First Bowl game, Upset of BYU(or was it Utah) in Week 1 and Kicker missed a chip shot FG Sat to lose to Wisconsin on road.
