The bloom is now off the rose as JJ puts out a mediocre product and it just won't sell in Dallas. Th momentum was there but the lackluster showings have lost the fringe fans....who would come, but are now dis-heartened. I was surprised but I thought it was 50-50 at the TAMU IMHO. SMU never had a chance to show its strength as there was NOTHING to cheer about. A FG when it was 27-0?.....hardly.
So true... That FG and me yelling go for it and it never happening haunts my dream along with our sad sad WR (except dieter)
The way just about every school in Texas limits opposing attendance is to sell season tickets leaving only the opponents alottment. SMU still apparently hasn't sold as many season tickets as in 2000 when Ford opened after 3 straight bowl games

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
I'd have to guess that attendance was held down by a combination of ticket prices that were too high and the fact that just about everyone knew this would not be a competitive game. Beatdowns are boring. . .pure and simple. Doesn't matter if you are a fan of the winner or the loser. If you know its going to be a beatdown and they're asking about $200 for 2 tickets, a lot of people are going to say "no, thanks." Especially when they can watch it on TV for free.
1st quarter 60-40 aggies over 3rd quarter 70-30 aggies over 4th quarter 75-25 aggies over End of game 90-10 aggies over.
I was hard pressed to see another Mustang in the sea of maroon as I walked out of the gates. The student section was 50% depleted by 3rd quarter. It certainly was not fun to sit there in the second half if you were not an aggies fan.
The local fans just don't stick around if the game is less than exciting. I come up every game from Houston so I stay tilll Varsity is sung no matter what the result. Where do all the Dallas fans feel like they need to rush off to? Are these the same fans that complain that the students don't show up? This game had the most impressive student showing since the TCU game in Ft Worth last year.
I'm the guy blocking your view on 3rd down and making your ears hurt.

Again, game was horrible, coach visibly gave up by FG, no offense no point in cheering. Therefore if team gives why shouldn't the fans. Traffic is more a concern to a typical fan than the noncaring blown out game, which led to Dallas thinking UNT is better. Embarrassing.

Good question. I wonder what the ticket sales are now for the TCU game.
If the ticketmaster map is to be believed, the temp bleachers are sold out, as is the entire west sideline (upper and lower). End zone seats in the upper level are available, and some on the east sideline. It looks like much more seats sold than for aTm

I've given tickets away the last two weeks, both parties left early. non competitive garbage out there. They aren't tied to either school, just want to watch a good football game. We did not deliver. I am too embarrassed to ask them again.
Who cares?...Fatterson will have HIS team ready for battle and SMU won't...it will be a beat down believe me. This team is lost in the 'fog of battle' created by June.
